| Customer Reviews: Excellent item February 5, 2010 Dave Deen 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bike came as cescribed without all the reported issues about it. Aseembly was also a breeze. "Santa did it on Xmas eve night in literally 15mins.
Very minor scratches because of poor insulation between metal parts inside but hardly noticebale to the average person.
I have not yet seen the bike(s) bought two, my grandsons' reactions and enjoyment gives them a ten. January 25, 2010 Renee Monteiro 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter says my grandsons' love the two bikes I bought and my grandsons' also say they love them. My daughter says they are cute for boys' bikes.
Assembly Nightmare January 2, 2010 Marcio (Boca Raton, FL) Bought this bike for my 4 years old, bike looks great but real pain to assemble it, specially the handlebars. It comes with a generic instructions manual without important details and pictures. by the way, the hard plastic cap that is stucked together with the handlebar is to be removed so that you can fit it in the body frame. also the pedals are horrible, bad quality and it comes out all the time. next time I would rather buy a non themed bike for a better quality and price.
My Son Loves IT!! July 3, 2008 TiffanyStephens (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well, I have to say that My 4 year old son LOVES this bike. There were a few minor defaults to it. The rims for the tires are a little bent, and the handle brake doesn't stay connected the way it's stupposed to. I decided it's not that big of a deal since my son is too little to really use it anyway. There have been a couple of other things that we've had to keep an eye on and tighten up again, but other than those few things it's not bad. He enjoys it, so I'm not going to worry too much.
A very good buy for your little Spidey January 2, 2008 Durling Heath (Cohoes, NY) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Like a lot of other buyers, the 16" Spiderman Bicycle was a Christmas gift for my three and a half-year old son. And also like a lot of other buyers, I am frequently anxious about assembling toys on Christmas eve. (I remember a fateful Christmas about seven years ago when I put together a battery powered Barbie Jeep. Yikes!) Although I did encounter one, minor problem, the degree product satisfaction is overwhelmingly positive.
First, the product was extremely easy to assemble. Ingeniously designed, I wondered why other manufacturers could not make their own products this simple! There are only a handful of parts that need to be fastened, including the front wheel, the seat, the handle bars, the brake connection on the right grip, and the Spiderman "shield" on the front. I think I only needed an adjustable wrench and a scissors to trim the zip ties for the shield. The bike was together and next to the tree in a matter of minutes.
Next, the price was right. The Amazon.com list price was $69.99. I did not shop the price around because it was so simple for me to "One-Click" order and have the bike delivered with the other gifts I ordered that I simply appreciated the convenience and left it alone. That aside, the bike is a good quality and a good value. If my son uses the bike for only three or four years, which will be the time he'll be due for an upgrade, the bike will only cost me about $20 per year!
Finally, the little man loves it - and that's the most important thing for me. Although it's really too cold to ride it much outside now, that has not stopped him from enjoying it anyway. He just rides it around the stairs and the load-bearing walls from the kitchen to the hallway to the foyer through the living room and back to the kitchen...every day ten times a day!
My only complaint about the 16" Spiderman Bicycle relates to the hand brakes. Another creative feature is the inclusion of both a hand brake and a traditional foot brake. The foot brake works just fine, but I have found the pads that stop the wheel for the hand brake difficult to adjust and tighten. And, that's only a "small fly in butter" for an otherwise great product. In all, it's a very good buy for your little Spidey!
